sad_detective_man@sopuli.xyz 1 month agoOkay, I’ll start with that one then. I’m skeptical of “Just turn off the TV” perspectives but if he’s got some new angles then I’m still open.
Weirdly enough I’ve found out that there’s a certain flavor of “annoying” that a person can be that activates most people like the Manchurian candidate. Or at least Americans, leaving my home country for the first time kind of showed me some perspective on it.

Yeah I get ya, I’ll refrain from further proselytizing and let you form your own opinion.
I find that annoying bit of self-righteousness is assuaged by people practicing what they preach and not sitting back and pointing out the flaws of other.

You don’t have to, it’s sound advice for most people in most situations. But actually, what do you mean? Like I can minimize my own annoyance or I can be less annoying to others?

Oh no I meant about moralistic people, amongst whom Bregman. They can come across a bit annoying, and I thought you were referring to that.

Oh no, not at all. I meant me 😂 I activate other Americans’ instant kill routines.
I probably wouldn’t exist well in a space with moralists but I definitely fill my free time and mental real estate with them.
