BrikoX@lemmy.zip 4 weeks agoMy point was that military personnel have no legal right to simply no because it might violate constitution. Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) is the only relevant document here and it gives government the final say in the outcome by design. Hence my use of terminology “slave”.

Fair. I do not want to diminish the meaning of word slave as those people had no choice. Military personnel while indirectly funneled into militray service through economic and other factors are consenting participants.
