sem@piefed.blahaj.zone 2 days agoDS9 had the arcs, darkness, and grit, and as such was not as liked at first, at least so I’ve heard. So maybe it will just take time for lower decks to be accepted.
I tried to like Discovery but it just seemed kind of wacky? Idk, I just vibed better with Star Trek Into Darkness

DS9 was bright and clearly shot compared to modern DISCO, and DS9 had an in-world explanation (being on a Cardassian space station).

I like how they also implied that the space station was always really hot also since that’s what Cardassians liked, if I remember correctly.
