lobut@lemmy.ca 1 year agoI paid someone to replace the battery in my Samsung S10E. The battery was never good in that thing anyway despite all my favorite tech YouTubers saying otherwise. Anywho, I think the repair shop gave me a bunk battery because it was worse than before. Got a pixel 7 last year. I definitely would have preferred to just be able to swap the battery myself.

Usually pulled from another phone they practically got for free for parts and gives them great profit margins.
