While I agree generally I’d like to point out that a lot of these rich people will have gaps in their security that could be exploited. Something as simple as running a 2001 Honda Civic through a fence and through a crowd at the right time could probably get you Musk for example.
But then we start getting into the questions like is collateral acceptable. Which given the fact I think the IRA did only one wrong (not killing Thatcher) you can guess where I fall.
As for mega churches. Yeah I ain’t got a counter, I’m from that fun breed of Southern Californian where I think the only way to deal with a cult is to commit a crime against humanity, so yet again can’t really add on past just killing a pastor, the upper leadership, and administrative elements.

Well then you’re losing a lot of support by killing the bystanders (not yours lol but y’know normal people with a conscience might not like it as evidenced by common perception of said IRA’s actions) and a lot would have to go right for that (how close is he to the fence, is there a stage, can your sedan make it through all the bodies in between you and him, can his security take you out before you get him, he’s a moving target so will he see the carnage and stand still or more likely will he run, will you be able to find him in a panicked crowd, etc). If the goal is to be an anti-hero it’s best to avoid that and be extremely targeted with your violence. Luigi wouldn’t be nearly as popular if he had happened to shoot some random witness for example.
For some cults you can actually do that, but like, there’s still Branch Davidians, mixing cults and Christianity is a very powerful tool. Just look at Mormons, cult - check, christian elements - check, one of the most powerful religions in the states. Some don’t even need Christianity, see: Scientology. You kill David Muscavich today and another takes his place tomorrow, and you’re not going to be able to kill all of them even if you are fine with killing their victims too due to some warped sense of justice.

You make nothing but fair points. I am damned well aware that my genocidal madness is pretty much worthless even to my own causes. Throw me logistics and I’ll do nothing but good, throw me at anything requiring morality and a group I hate and I’ll end up hanged at the Hague. Though I do hate how folks dislike the IRA, their cause was just.
Regardless I kinda forgot the most folks don’t live in California and that school shooters are often movement incapable and that me pissing around all of SoCal at 17 was the aberration and not the norm.
Eh, fuck it. No more larp. I really do hate how we live in a society where discussions like this are even the vaguest bit reasonable. How to a degree the fastest fix to the problem of pedophilic profligates at the top of society isn’t to just throw them in a cell or to lynch them, but to hope some disenfranchised mentally ill kid goes and puts a round into them.
