Nothing to do with the density of the fart, but a lot of temperature differences between the “air” of the fart and outside, apart of the sensibility of the camara, same as you can see at plain sight your breath on cold days.
If the fart has much difference with the temperature outside, the camara will capture it.

Sadly not, because even a hairdryer isn’t recorded and that’s way hotter than the surrounding area.
