Blaze@piefed.zip 2 weeks agoAs someone else mentioned, if you use NodeBB, you should be able to federate that community from your forum.
Then you probably want to start by posting to !imadethis@lemmy.zip as it’s already established and has a good following. Then over time if you see there is appetite for more niche communities, you can create them, but being in one place at the beginning would definitely help.

Oh, ok - I see what you are saying. To use that community to federate with. Yeah that’s a great idea - and I’ll definitely keep it in mind once I eventually switch over to nodeBB :)
