Shrodingers deficit: it both matters and doesn’t matter until you observe the white house and see who occupies it.
It matters when a Democrat occupies it and doesn’t when a Republican does…

Technically it doesn’t matter because of US dollar being global reserve currency and they can just print money without any consequences, but that is shifting now and once countries dump US treasuries US economy will be fucked like never before.
