Comment on NYC Pays Over $300 a Night for Budget Hotel Rooms for Migrants

The $300 average includes food and other services not normally included in a typical hotel rate. Also, the city can opt out of any of its individual contracts at any time if the migrant population in need of shelter reduces.

This is not the same as housing the homeless, who often will need some form of housing and care from the city/state for their entire lives due to mental illness and/or disability. This is an investment in a future American workforce.
