You know there are worse things for a dog than a shock collar, getting killed in traffic, or shot by the neighbors, or hurting a neighbor’s dog, being amongst them. They learn pretty soon with the shock there are audio warnings so they aren’t getting shocked all the time.

This is an insane take. By that local, someone doesn’t love anything unless they are using all their time and energy on that one thing. Which is called obsession.
I have saved and retrained dogs in my time at the ASPCA in Orlando, where I was a kennel coach.
Now what amount of energy have you put into being a positive influence in the world?

I don’t know anything about this person or this situation, but you’ve never had a dog die from traffic clearly. Hold your dying dog in your arms and then tell me how wrong the shock collar is that would’ve saved them from that fate.

This is some real talk! Like I’m a big supporter of gender affirming care and bathroom rights, but I’m two standard deviations to the right of the bell curve in terms of largeness and I got the super test gene.
I would happily give up a non insignificant amount of height, and donate ALL my test, if it meant I could have my younger back again.

Your thoughts on gender are irrelevant to this conversation. “There are worse things” isn’t an excuse to harm a sentient creature. There’s worse things than being stabbed in the eye. Are you volunteering to be stabbed in the eye?
