Not that the plot was trash, because I have read a bit of the light novel. Not the best, but it is good writing.
But the anime cut out so much from the ln, and decided to present to us, what i like to call, "left over feel good parts." This is a constant problem with light novel adaptations though. .. :btr_bocchi_trash_lurk:
