The Dreamcast is the best. There is an emulator that feels abandoned but it’s still fine for now: redream.io

And if you buy a license for a few bucks, you get high definition graphics.

There may be open source emulators but I have never looked for them.

Yeah I tried flycast and it works excellent.

I was on the fence. But after I would spend all that money on adapting the real controllers to use on my pc and then futzing with all the emulation and then not being able to play on my crt, I figured why not. The systems arent expensive yet, I paid 120 for one with 2 controllers and 2 vmus with all cables, in working condition.
