Yeah. Fuck those poor parents already living under the stigma of not being able to provide for their kids as the world is driven ever more to shit by people with an “I’m alright Jack” attitude.

Waiting to hear this isn’t the parents fault and that we should all be penalised

Penalizing the people responsible for people being unable to afford healthy food for their kids is an option.
Bassman27@lemmy.world 2 days ago
Yeah fuck those guys for having kids they can’t afford!
Codpiece@feddit.uk 2 days ago
Yeah. Fuck them for being able to afford it at the start and then prices going up and job losses leading to stress and broken homes. The bastards.

We banned smoking adverts and that helped.

Can we take collective responsibility for our society without taking any collective blame?
Need to split it out. Take out the blame and punishment, and see it from a grown up point of view.
Coz I hear you, I’m not taking the blame for stuff I had no control over. That makes no sense. I owe nobody anything for that stuff.
I am over okay with taxes, or other measures, which address society’s needs even if they aversely affect me. Ws we have a shared responsibility to make society a better place.

Can’t it be shared-fault? Most of our residential area designs suck and discourage taking children outside without cars or at least buggies.
Bassman27@lemmy.world 2 days ago
No I wasn’t involved in city planning

Then it’s your fault for not getting involved and telling your electeds to stop allowing the hellscapes. HTH 😉

Shared fault for not creating public spaces and for nimbys chasing away kids.
