Something else I would do I find a large open parking lot and intentionally drive in a way to make my car lose traction. This way I could practice my over steer, counter steer.
Sure it was fun to play in the snow but I wanted to make sure I had a controlled setting to do this. Just be careful of light poles and other obstacles.
