You mentioned running Crdroid. Did this issue occur in the stock rom? Contact/report the issue to people maintaining the rom for your device. Low-level stuff can only be fixed by those.

I did, they were unable to replicate the issue and noone ever reported this. This didn’t occur in other roms.

anyway, it’s irreproducability was why I was hoping to ask wider audience than users of this particular rom
