It’s a settler-colonial project built on the exploitation of stolen land and exploited labor. As true in the 1700s as it is today. It isn’t possible for this sort of entity to mantain stability once the supply of land and people to exploit runs out.

You do not know? It is simple. The rich wanted more, and resented workers acheiving dignity and political power. Thereby entering into a long game to undo the new deal and the rest, in 1972 at the biz roundtable in a first iteration. From infecting unions with corp hack leaders, and organized crime, to taking both parties, breeding hack judges from hack lawyers, to everything else, notably launching campaigns against reality itself where it conflicts with their interests.
All while destroying organized opposition by every means. The only resistance is through controlled opposition, or a few disparate organizations yelling into the void over the sounds of paid actors drowning their voices out.
Insofar they made a political monster they will lose control of, that will destroy them one way and or others. But it is taking bribes to do what they want so they could not act long term even if they were not delusional about how it will play out.
