You jest, but these are egomaniacs that believe they are the harbingers and rulers of a new world. I’m not saying it’s true, however it is totally within the realm of possibility that, at this point, they view their actions as terraforming.
Why can’t we just… like… terraform our current environment? Y’know, like, cleaning the air, soil, and water…? Right…?
I know the answer is because it’s not profitable.
