Yes, our dear leader is such a wildlife lover that he just cares about our precious seabirds. That’s what it is.
- Comment on How Fossil Fuel Disruptions Lead to Booms in Solar and Batteries 4 days ago:
It’s primarily a political issue at this point. While there will always be some need for fossil fuels, a decent majority of our transportation and manufacturing infrastructure can be electrified.
- Comment on U.S. Solar Installations Fell in 2025 as Trump Attacked Clean Energy 5 days ago:
No matter how much Heritage and the American Petroleum Institute try to push fossil fuels, they are a dying breed fortunately.
We’ve reached the economic inflection point, so now even the greedy financial class can’t ignore that solar is the way to go. Wind is pretty close behind.

How is the average AI user stupid? I think that’s just… your average human in general. Some extremely smart people that make amazing use of it, most that are reasonable and use it for some things but know their limits, and some that have entire relationships with an AI or kill themselves due to it.

Assuming Trump was legally able to run, and if it’s only those 5 choices, I would probably go with the company that’s the least evil. I don’t know which one that is for now. Definitely not Grok or Trump.

I sat in a brief on this, and while it definitely was hyped up a bit and strategically poked by humans to get some responses, the overall takeaway is that I’m fucking terrified of what’s to come with AI… and I work in AI research…
- Comment on Facebook is absolutely cooked 3 weeks ago:
Of course facebook is, and has been, done for a long time. I think this says more about your interests than anything else. Mine doesn’t have a bunch of AI women, it’s a bunch of random shit and ads last time I checked.
I mainly use it for neighborhood HOA groups and similar clubs, pickup soccer, etc.

“The government” is (or at least was, not anymore) very stable and reliable, even though you can’t get as much as you could in the private sector. However Trump and this regime are notorious for cheating their workers. I just wanted to make that distinction.

I’m just waiting to hear that news. President Miller wants that to happen. He’s setting up all the pieces so it happens as soon as possible.
Stephen Miller is such a little bitch he couldn’t even deal with his neighbors in Arlington, VA writing chalk messages on the sidewalk next to his house, so he had to pack up and run away to a military base. What kind of little bitch boy does that? I hope he takes care of himself in the same way that his Nazi heroes did.

Think about what kind of politics these boys will have when they grow up though… It’s going to be even more authoritarian, anti-woman, etc.

These are actual teenage boys now though. Gen Alpha is so fucked.

Why can’t we just… like… terraform our current environment? Y’know, like, cleaning the air, soil, and water…? Right…?
I know the answer is because it’s not profitable.

Interesting point. I can see it going both ways. They are fundamentally broken inside with greed and selfishness, but also obsessed with immortality and legacy like you said, so maybe a little of both?
- Comment on Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos and Sam Altman among billionaires investing in 'Freedom City' to be built on Greenland 1 month ago:
I don’t think climate change is the primary driver, since they won’t even be alive to see the worst affects of it. Don’t get me wrong it’s going to make everything worse even within 10 years, but it’s not turning Greenland into some habitable, farmable landmass in the span of these technofascists’ lifetimes. God I hate this.
People should read The Ministry for the Future to learn how they dealt with climate criminals as more and more people suffered and died due to climate change in the mid-future.
- Comment on Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos and Sam Altman among billionaires investing in 'Freedom City' to be built on Greenland 1 month ago:
OHHH this all makes sense suddenly. Curtis fucking Yarvin the dweeb-villain himself is behind this. Everyone should be aware of the technofeudalist plan to destroy America as we know it and turn it into a network state with monarch-like ultra-authoritarian “CEOs” of each country. Oh and btw Peter Thiel is fully bought into this (there are dozens of verified comms between them), and Thiel owns Vance. So when Trump dies, this is their ultimate plan.
Check out Prospera in Honduras, one early example of these states.
- Comment on Well we certainly aren't talking about the Epstein files. 2 months ago:
In reality, probably not. Of all MAGA who say that, maybe 20% of them actually end up leaving, maybe.
- Comment on Well we certainly aren't talking about the Epstein files. 2 months ago:
That’s actually not true. I’ve seen a significant portion of MAGA say that if there was some irrefutable proof Trump raped kids then they would split. Now, the term “irrefutable” is doing some heavy lifting, as they would probably say it’s AI or something, but that is what a lot have been saying.
There’s still a frighteningly large portion of MAGA that would stick with him even if proven he raped 100 kids and murdered a baby (or gave the order to).

lol that day is coming sooner than you’d think, I think 10 years is being generous tbh
You should learn a highly niche specialization within SWE if you don’t already have one (that’s what I have). That will be overtaken by AI too, but it’ll give you more runway at least.

Just making the distinction that both blue and white collar workers are all still the working class generally. Colloquially, “working class” can be used more to mean blue collar workers, but in my context I mean anyone not in the capital ownership class.
