Scalp is skin so any wash that’s safe for one is okay for the other. Hair is a different beast entirely. The ends of long hair are much older than the cells on your skin, and they need moisture plus detangling. However if you have very short hair the damage done by using a cheap 3 in 1 product will be cut off before it becomes noticeable.
