      Athletes are adults … and they have a right to do with their body what they wish - my body, my choice; your body, your choice, … And no government, no paternalistic sports federation, should be making those decisions for athletes

      Except for living as their gender dictates apparently, as:

      According to D’Souza, athletes should also be categorised based on their chromosomal sex.

      That said, if I understand this correctly, they are basically making, letting and forcing (select the one you like) trans men to compete in women’s sports.

      Take this with a grain of salt, but at least bodybuilding is a somewhat open league. No one who is a somewhat professional lifter is clean and everyone knows that. I dont know if or how they test, but I guess if you would do it properly every single person would fail.

    My understanding is that most professional sports are technically open to all genders, they just don’t hire female athletes generally.

    I looked at the top four professional sports organizations in America: the NHL, NFL, MLB, and the NBA.

    None of them prohibit women from playing. No woman has ever been drafted in the MLB or NFL, but the NBA did draft one woman who didnt end up playing, and the NHL had one woman play a preseason game.

      Yes, most “men’s” leagues allow women, and by that extent trans women.

      Women’s sports were created for the sole purpose of giving women a chance to actually win competitions in sports where men have a big advantage

        Idk why you are getting criticised. Maybe its for your suggestion to exclude trans people from the leagues of their gender and by not allowing them to play at all, since there are not enough trans athletes to form a whole league. Also, how the fuck should this work? Are trans men and women playing in the same league? That’s unfair due to transmens taking testosterone and therefore having advantages.

        Your suggestion also feeds the dumb narrative, that trans women are somehow automatically better in sports simply because of their AGAB, which simply isnt true.
