purple_mimosa@lemmy.world 1 week agoI remember when I first joined Reddit, there were clear rules everywhere stating that the downvote button is not a disagree button, but is the comment on-topic button. And it was a much better space back then too. Then the epstein pedos took over to control the narrative, and the rest is history.

I fully believe the issue is that regular people stopped voting and engaging. Everybody became passive except for people trying to push an agenda. If people stayed engaged and continued to vote, they would have drowned them out.
