neon_nova@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 months agoI think that game suffers as it is not as good as the first one. But it was not a bad game, I guess. I think I just had high expectations. Maybe it would have been better if it was marketed as a sequel to PE1

Regardless of their differences it was still tied to the first game, not making use of this connection doesn’t make much sense. At least it wasn’t the case of (new) Prey where they forced the name of a completely separate game to bump up the sales.

I guess you’re right cause it was more of a spinoff not really a sequel.
It’s more of an action horror vibe instead of a survival horror vibe.
