NutWrench@lemmy.world 2 days agoThis is also why governments are pushing so hard for “AI.” AI won’t be used to improve the quality of our lives. It will be used for advertising, propaganda, surveillance and control. Only AI is fast enough to run all the bots and generate the blizzard of BS fast enough to counter the opinions of millions of people online.

What about in the opposite direction. Isn’t AI a tool that can be used to create, analyze and research. Which is why I think it’s pushed very hard for the left to alienate themselves from it. It gives anyone who embraced it a big advantage.
