Watched the ad. It’s less terrible than expected and more tone deaf.

There are a few moments that are wrong, such as the people eating the flaming food, the (grandparents?) being surprised before the power went out, physics being off, or motion being too crisp.

Of course, the largest indicator is the 2-second scenes, which is a bit nauseating.

The ad basically says that everything about Christmas is terrible, so just hide out at McDonald’s for the rest of the year. I think McDonald’s being a hangout died 20 years ago. Also, I really don’t want to spend more time in a fast food restaurant than necessary.
