Experts like Sam Altman and other members of the circle jerk spouting what they know damn well is bullshit for their own financial gain? Those experts?

You mean as a result of rich assholes using AI as an excuse to lay people off while pretending AI is picking up the slack, but it’s really the remaining employees being overworked?
The “do more with less” philosophy doesn’t make sense here either. Why not “do loads more with same”?
Imagine the current workforce, with all the experience and domain knowledge, paired with AI instead of replaced by it. Humans can do such awesome things when we work together.
These billionaires can be so short-sighted sometimes. All profit and no vision.
Because squeezing the workers while doing more causes the line to go up faster than just doing more with added overhead costs. They cannot think past quarterly reports.

The thing is. Replacing humans with robots should never be a bad thing. We should work less and have the same living standards.
However our world is currently setup so that without a job you suck. Even in civilised countries where you still have access to health care and support from the government so you don’t starve to death or have to leave your house.
We need to improve the quality of live for the job less so that layoffs aren’t a bad thing anymore.
Also if you can live without working the average pay check will raise.

Definitely agree. “Making a living” is a dumb concept when society could absolutely provide universal programs to fulfill everyone’s basic needs. Instead, societal resources are allocated to a few wealthy sociopaths so they can hoard it and disproportionately control world affairs according to their own selfish interests. What a world it would be if nobody had to work just to stay alive, and everyone instead could contribute their best selves to society on their own terms.
