I think it's hard to use the words left or right in this discussion because it clearly means opposite things to the Tankies as it does to sensible people, and even sensible people can't agree if it means progress towards anarchy or regulated markets.
When I see a tankie I assume they’re a high schooler who just learned what leftist politics are or a mentally ill adult who never grew out of that stage.

I think Tankie would be the one using Liberal as a Slur, the one calling that guy a right wing nutjob is either an anarchist or an actual progressive.
