For what it’s worth, I watched it for the first time only a couple years ago just to see what the deal was, and I enjoyed it, probably more than I expected. It was definitely not a boring watch.
I am not nearly a kid anymore but growing up I never encountered SNL (not American) and though I was vaguely aware of them, original Muppet show was a bit before my time, I had seen very little of it.

it’s difficult to distinguish Muppets’ and Jim Henson’s works as an adult versus childhood. I loved LOVED The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth as a kid, can’t stand either of them now. And that old SNL is super cringy to watch, but sometimes it really, really hit.
