Finally had the time to read all of this. Steven A Hassan is just asking us to be sycophants for the “undue influenced” for a long time until they relent.

sycophant techniques:

1. Opinion conformity. 2. Fashion stockers. 3. Self-promotion 4. Other enhancement. 5. Kiss up, kick down. 6. Disagree on small points.

BITE modeling:

A. doing your homework [2] B. Build rapport and trust. [1] C. Do what you can to remove or minimize media that continually indoctrinates to only one point of view. [3,5,6] D. Ask thought-provoking questions while being warm and curious. [3,6] E. Keep conversations positive, productive, and civil [1,2,4] F. Adopt a general tone of curiosity and interest in their positions [2,4,5] G. Try to connect them with their authentic identity before these extreme beliefs. [2,3,4] H. Don’t “tell” them anything [1,2,4,5] I. Try to get them to look at reality from many different perspectives. [3,6] J. Teach them about indoctrination and mind control. Use examples for which they have no attachment. [2,3,5,6] K. Use examples of cult leaders with similar qualities to their group’s leader(s) and have conversations about it. [3,5,6] L. Share feelings and perceptions, not judgments. Use “I feel” statements. M. Ask a question and then wait for them to think and respond. [3,5] N. Caution: an abundance of facts won’t necessarily help. [1,2,4,5]

If you have the patience for this type of sycophantic therapy, good luck🫡.
