Congratulations, you’re seeing what communism leads to *EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. This is why people that aren’t smooth brains know that communism isn’t the utopia that leftists and 90% of Lemmy users think it is. It always ends in fascism, elites, and keeping everyone else held down on the bottom.

I don’t think communism by bare definition leads there but certainly “dismantling capitalism” doesn’t have a good track record.

    By bare definition a lot of things are communism, like public roads and libraries, public housing, public insulin production, etc.
    
    But most people on here use the word to descrive west v east divide and not what the word means.

    Communism is an economic and political ideology. Individual publicly owned services are not “communism”.
