It’s been very strange seeing how this is going on while the new galaxy XR just came out and seems to be the most open platfrom from Samsung and google in a while in many ways.

Bait and switch is every tech companies modus operandi. Whether it’s injecting ads, or disabling an entire feature-set, the point is to build your dependence so they can amp up the value extraction and fuck you as hard as possible, without losing your money or attention.
