That doesn’t change the fact that our brains naturally build empires and also critique them. In fact you’re doing the 2nd part right now. We’re high concept apes, and brutal animals, but also with a sense of justice and compassion. Things things (and more!) are all jammed into our brains. Contradictions be damned. But our brains were not “designed” to just “eat berries in a cave.”
