A system designed to govern fairly will inevitably be abused by people who have no intention of fairness. You can place as many obstacles in their path as you wish, you can’t stop them forever and eventually they will get around them all.

That’s why any place with a fucking brain at minimum massively controls the assholes and at maximum puts them to death.
Though when money IS everyones’ “god”, the rich and greedy and more divine than us plebs…
