Comment on America could have avoided all of this with a functional justice system
SatansMaggotyCumFart@piefed.world 1 day agoI wish we could have had Biden for a second term instead of this bullshit.
Harris probably would have been amazing but people sat around and let Trump in and that’s a failure on the country and its voters.

I voted Obama, Hillary, Biden and Harris. And the more important midterms/downballot
It’s a failure on the Democratic party. We know Republicans will always be controlled by the religious right, “The Economy”, and racists. I cant bring myself to expect them to be better.
Dems knew swing voters were hesitant and instead of providing an alternative other than “less bad” they moved to the right and got outflanked by Donald on every fucking issue and anyone that wanted to vote Republican lite just voted Republican anyway.
Every election cycle is the same.
Dems start by virtue signaling cultural left problems, giving lip service to some “economic left” issue for a few months before completely abandoning it.
They spend the next several years talking about how they need to win over Joe America, the pig farmer plumber-man who doesn’t want to vote for the right BUT HAS TO because woke. They throw whatever minority they have to under the bus because they are super serious Machiavellian politicians who ‘get shit done’ and then lose because they’ve offered yet another candidate that is Republican lite. For the last year I had to listen to pundits, politicians and posts waffle on about if it was trans people, Palestinians or migrants they should have abandoned harder. One of them was the secret solution that would have lead to victory.
Or they win and deport more people than trump did his first term (Biden) or continue the same wars they got elected on bailing out of. (Obama) And giving wallstreet infinite money cheatcodes at a pivotal moment while Americans were being unhoused instead of taking the opportunity to create a new American housing program.
They do what you are doing and blame voters, who HAVE TO VOTE IN THE MOST IMPORTANT ELECTION OF OUR LIFE TIME (again) or society will collapse (again).
Harris would have been better than literal fascist, but don’t pretend it would have been by much. The deportations would have faced less resistance and would have had zero push back by the media and less public attention. No one would have cared. Kamala “do not come” Harris campaigned on building the fucking wall for fucks sake. None of these people want to address the actual issue of climate change and constant interference in Latin countries leading to political instability is what is causing the migration. The rhetoric on Gaza would have been more strongly worded letters at best with no material difference.
The big big difference would have been in queer rights, judge appointments, fed jobs, bureaucracic institutions (that we currently need to function), and ya know not deploying troops on civilians etc. but you only have to look to Furgeson to see how civil unrest is treated under a dem. Better? in rhetoric.
Biden only won because of the left flank of BLM causing a mass movement against Trump. Obama only won because of leftwing anti war sentiment and anti bush sentiment. Pretending Harris would be any different than any other international power at best on Gaza is stupid. Listen to her words. Recently when talking about Palestine she spent the entire interview talking about wanting to soften Biden’s rhetoric not his policies.
Sorry for the long post I’ve just been doing door knocking for Dems since John Edwards, then John Kerry, then Obama, then Bernie, then Hillary, then Bernie and then I just couldn’t fucking do it anymore. Nothing changes with the party.

It doesn’t really matter who you voted for, eighty million decided that sitting back and watching Trump take power was more important then voting and that’s a failure on every single one of them.
