FreedomAdvocate@lemmy.net.au 1 week agoIt doesn’t need to be Linux though - AOSP is still open source. Companies like graphebe using it just needed to not depend on Google to provide them the hardware and software to keep their OS viable. It’s entirely on them.

Google start with open source so they can use open source tools and get a lot of work for free.
But they use the famous Elbrace, E tende and Extinguish. See the things they are doing with the web with Chrome.
