  Because the AI integration is a recent change unrelated to this data. The commenter is pulling it out of their ass.

  If we’re just throwing out theories, I’d propose it was the dramatic increase in ads with a decrease in quality of content being served by the algorithm. The only thing that gets front page access if clickbait.
