Comment on Amazon is making it impossible to remove the DRM from Kindle Books
dantheclamman@lemmy.world 3 weeks agoIt is remarkable how many books available for free on Gutenberg are sold in the same format on Amazon (it’d be one thing if they were special editions, new translations etc, but they’re the same!)

People out to make a quick buck are banking on suckers not knowing about Project Gutenberg, or failing to check it, or not wanting to do a couple of extra steps to get something onto their Kindle.
