One thing I’ve never actually seen anybody address - demand for cooking oil is increasing. Palm oil is by far the most land-efficient of all the vegetable oils, with the rest producing far less oil per acre. For all those who urge boycotts of palm oil, do they not realise using other vegetable oils actually exacerbates the problem by requiring even more land?
