Comment on Reform councillor would like to see wage cuts to fund his pay rise
HumanPenguin@feddit.uk 1 week agoTechnically their job is to spread yours and other local opinions at those meetings. Telling the permanent council staff the direction Thier voters want the council to go.
Really with the average town councillor having extremely low torn out to elect them. Most are only representing the views of a couple of hundred locals.
Seriously a very little not to public effort all Tory and reform councils could be removed. Even in what are seen as safe zones.

In our ward they don’t even bother turning out. I think the LibDem who usually wins - and doesn’t even live here! - gets about 900 votes.
