I’m not saying I believe that Tylenol causes autism, because I don’t, but this is like saying, “Cancer was discovered before industrial chemical manufacturing so anyone trying to tell you that pesticides cause cancer is entirely full of crap.”

I get the sentiment, but this is not the best way to push back on this point.
