Something like a YouTube video/music link can be ripped trivially with yt-dlp. Google doesn’t force me to interact with their shitty tracker-ridden UI, spotify does.

Take this as nicely as possible, but just google it and just listen to some music instead of being an incel about it

Yeah, that’s the saner option. But DRM, online tracking, ads, and unnecessarily bloated websites are still quite concerning. Using these services more only helps them make it worse. Plus, I’m on an ancient computer; spotify runs slow as hell for me.
Sorry for being an incel again, but please try to make it more accessible. You could:
- Include the song’s name, makes it easier to search
- Link the song in a website that doesn’t have heavy DRM
- Download the mp3 and post it directly

Okay the only thing that will absolve the whole unfuckableness of this conversation is, can you not see what the song is when you click the link to Spotify, and then spend ten seconds to google it? I’m just sharing links of songs I have favorited in Spotify, there’s no reason for the fucking purity tests on this.

Thing is, you don’t need an account for YouTube to work. And if you use an adblocker, it’s actually pretty hassle free too.
