Comment on Apple Maps will finally be getting offline downloads

according to the OSM Wiki, Maps.me was sold in November 2020 and the source code was locked down. The original developers forked the original code and created Organic Maps.

Well that’s bittersweet. I did not realize it had been sold. At least it was forked though. Thanks for pointing that out!
