How is this economics? Just because some guy is not getting paid by immigrants who may not be in the country illegally?
This raid happened days after a Korean presidential visit to the US with Trump to discuss trade negotiations, of which the US is looking for concessions, giveaways and fealty from Korea, as with other nations. Korea didn’t show up like a doormat and this was the calculated, premeditated response. The entire story is about international trade, manufacturing and economics, overlaid by broken US immigration practices.
That is how this is economics.
The article didn’t point out anything about trade negotiations or fealty. It is an immigration issue.

Follow the rules, that is society works. It seems to be an article geared to left wing people who don’t believe in laws if it doesn’t fit their world view. You are in America.

They were in the country legally. They were there on temporary work visas to help set up the plant.
