Hunted a bit growing up. My guess is, if you hit a human pretty much anywhere above the thighs with .30-06, they’re not going to live through it. The hydrostatic shock is devastating and the exit woulnd is significant.

If the round was armor piercing, .30-06 has enough force to go through a car engine block.
