We’re looking at deinterlacing and blocking artifacts that have plagued reuploaded broadcasts for decades, and that pixel peepers have complained about that entire time, yet these ancient filters are being called out as ‘AI’. And it has little to do with Trump and the government: this would happen to anything high-profile enough.
