"One of the most substantial updates to the 2026 Mercedes-Benz S-Class is the evolution of its SAE Level 3 autonomous driving system, Drive Pilot. Previously capped at 37 mph (60 km/h), Drive Pilot now operates at speeds of up to 59 mph (95 km/h) on highways—though only in Germany for now. Mercedes clarified that this increase is pending regulatory approval in the U.S., where the system remains limited to 37 mph.
