Comment on Can't react to certain posts of other lemmy users, why?

Where posts get federated to your home instance, but replies grom your home instance are not being accepted by OP’s instance?

In that case the reply should still appear on their own instance.

Oh, I did not realize that it worked this way. I always figured the reply object would have to first be created on the post’s original server (simply listing the reply creator as being from a foreign server) and then federated outwards from the post’s original sever again. I did not realize that replies could be directly created on foreign servers, as from the viewpoint of the original post server.
