This is a concept that is treated as universal, and its really not. Its treated as unavoidable even in situations where it could occur, and it’s really not.
And in fact, killing all the hyper-authoritarians (or at least all of that kind of authoritarian-the irredeemable monster kind) and dismantling everything they built is the best way to stop that.
I find this phrase is almost without exception deployed to justify keeping momentum on horrible shit. It’s a massive red flag, almost a logical fallacy in itself.

Nope, gotta destroy their institutions and hunt down survivors, dispossess their heirs completely, at minimum, but i think if they’re old enough to talk they’re old enough to hang in this case. The harm of letting them live is too great.
we need an already
Yeah thats optimal, but humans do actually have pretty good instincts for that. Like, shockingly good. Enough to bridge major gaps.

It’s usually tjose fuckers or their heirs doing the grumbling. Kill them; it wont be an issue.
I can’t help but notice you’re broadly suggesting we should avoid the result we’ve gotten every time by nit behaving too differently than we have every time in the past. I think we should try something different.

Kill all the slave owners, all the ss men or party members. You’ll get close enough.
My great great great great grandmother passed down a story about how she hid a bunch of family money from the union army and used her children to do it. She, and every single one of those children, should have been gutted. If the whole war were fought like that: e reconstruction would not have been rolled back. We wi not have got the nazis. We certainly wouldnt have trump. Would’ve beem worth it.
Im not talking about hunting down a psychological tendency. Im talking about people who join the atrocity party and self identify. There will always be shitty people. You don’t need to kill every shitty person. You need to kill every monster who participates in atrocities and imo thwir entire family, barring those who disowned them before it was ‘cool’ (so like that one cousin of trump’s, musk’s daughter. Visible or verifiable opposition before their failure was certain) And any oskar schindler types. I’d argue still sterilize them.
Not as much as leaving them alive does literally everu single fucking time holy fuck look up yje years of lead and tell me that was worty it. Live through the next five years and find the death camp i die at and scream that at the mass grave they dump me in.
It’s about identity and persevution complexes, not to stop every possible person being shitty. Im not for killing people to stop being shitty. I’m for ending fascism slavery etc. Genuinely ending it. You know we still have slavery here, right? That it never really wemt away? Is the reason our emtire apparatus of state power is structured like that?
Im okay with that, and if youre strict, id probably get caught in that. But I’m really not expecting to see the end of this. I’m going to die in the camps. The onsa thay wouldn’t exist if we had killed every last member of every slave owning family in the confederacy, or every single SS man and its family after worls war 2.
