    Yes, because of bash license change from GPLv2 to GPLv3 apple refused to upgrade bash and kept it on v3.2 (last GPLv2) for like 10 years before eventually migrating to zsh

    I use to give people shit that the default ls command was from 2002. They finally fucking upgraded it in like 2020. But yeah. That’s some old fucking software.
