I’ll check the wiki then, that’s a good idea. Makes sense that the cores are a bit behind on the standalone, since the developers have to port them to libretro and such.

Retroarch’s cores are usually multiple revisions behind the standalone versions, as it takes some effort to modify them into cores. The Dolphin core in particular has been pretty notoriously out of date over the years. I would check the Dolphin Wiki entry for the game and see if there’s some settings you need to tweak in the core settings that might be being applied automatically by standalone.

nice that worked! The docs said to download the “Sys” folder from the git repo of dolphin, and that fixed all my graphical issues! Paper mode no longer makes a giant shadow! Interestingly, now I can use 60hz mode instead of 50hz
