Comment on Evolution of the k'chain che'malle, pretty much
WhiteOakBayou@lemmy.world 3 weeks agoI’ve read it. While I appreciate it as a whole, and really like a good bit of it, I found enough of it to be a slog that I only recommend it to people who already read fantasy. Do you have any other recommendations in the same vein?

Not quite the same, but try Conn Igullden’s Rome series. Short by Malazan standards, and well done.
